3D modeled ‘ōhi’a lehua (left) and image of ‘ōhi’a lehua tree (right)

As my summer break winds down, I’m starting to put the final touches on my latest project, a multimedia interactive installation called Remember ‘Ōhi’a. I created 3D modeled ‘ōhi’a lehua trees using pictures of real textures from ‘ōhi’a lehua and Maya software. This is one of three trees I designed that will be featured in the upcoming exhibition, Artist of Hawaii Now (2021) at the Honolulu Museum of Art.
